Doctor Nurgul Saliyeva is a physician from Shymkent, from southern Kazakhstan, founder and Director of International Medical Exchange (IME). Now she lives in Houston, Texas. While Kazakhstan is the 8th largest country in the world, it lags in medical care. Dr. Nurgul started IME to address this need.

   IME works with revision of old approaches in medicine and introduction of innovative ways of solving health issues. Also, IME facilitates and coordinates medical education and the delivery of medical services in Kazakhstan. IME flies volunteer medical experts from the USA to major cities in Kazakhstan in order to provide lectures as well as hands on medical training, also sends medical workers from Kazakhstan to USA to different medical trainings. IME is an IRS-00 registered 501(c)(3) charity. IME is non-profit organization, which is dependent on volunteer efforts and donor contributions for its various projects.
